Oadby 40/40 Challenge

Back in 2010 we celebrated our 40th anniversary and, to commemorate this, the team at Oadby took part in the Oadby 40/40 Challenge. The aim of this was to raise money for ten worthy causes by taking part in two gruelling challenges.

A number of employees took part in the London Marathon, said to be ‘the world’s most human race’ and the Three Peaks Challenge, which involved tackling the three highest peaks in the UK – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – all within 24 hours!

We are now pleased to announce that thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Oadby team, plus the generosity of everyone who donated, we have raised a magnificent sum of £21,701.33.

All of the charities that were chosen have a personal link to our company, either through supporting a member of the team directly or indirectly via a family member.

Below is a breakdown of the money raised for each chosen charity.

• Macmillan Cancer Trust £3,564.93

• PROSTaid £2,012.38
• SENSE £3,251.44

Every penny raised will be put to good use by all of these charities, enabling them to continue to care for those with specific needs and provide support services to their families.
