Job Title: Internal Sales Advisor
Salary/Rate: Competitive
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
Basis: Permanent

Established in 1969, Oadby Plastics are the ‘UK’s leading independent plastics supplier’. Due to continued growth we require a highly motivated individual to join our Internal Sales team at our head office.

The Role
• Work as part of a team developing and maintaining strong relationships with established customers
• Understanding customer requirements to effectively sell our full range of products and services
• Answering incoming enquiries via telephone and email
• Processing orders and quotations, negotiating prices and terms where necessary
• Processing purchase orders, liaising with third parties to ensure requirements are met
• Managing accounts to set budgets, monitor performance and maximise spend potential
• Regular use of CRM to understand and record important customer information
• Solving problems and applying logic when handling conflict
• Achieving set sales targets

The Candidate
• Good standard of Education in Maths and English
• Competent IT Skills
• High level of Experience within a busy sales role with a proven background of sales achievement
• Strong communication and influencing skills

Job Title: Driver (Class 1)
Salary/Rate: Competitive
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 7.00am-3.00pm
Basis: Permanent
Location: Cannock

Established in 1969, Oadby Plastics are the ‘UK’s leading independent plastics supplier’. Due to continued growth we require a highly motivated individual to join our transport department at our branch Cannock.

The Role
• General driving duties, observing current legal and best practice delivering and collection to/from our customer’s premises
• Carry out daily defect vehicle check and complete the relevant paperwork
• Ensuring that vehicle loads are safe and damage free, secured with the appropriate restraints as per company procedures / Safe Systems of Work
• Transport goods to customer sites following a scheduled route
• Deliver goods to customer sites, unload the goods against delivery notes and ensure all good are in a presentable condition
• Ensure that the returned goods process is followed at all times
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle you are driving at all times
• Comply with all EU drivers’ hours/tachograph / WTD regulations
• Light warehouse duties

The Candidate
• Minimum 5 years Experience in Class 1 driving
• 7.5t Vehicle Licence is essential
• Forklift Counterbalance Licence would be desirable
• Build good working relationships with customers at all times
• Maintain a positive working attitude towards the role, colleagues, customers and suppliers at all times

We are seeking an organised individual that is motivated to off unrivalled customer service for our wide range of products. The successful candidate will be tasked with dealing with straight forward stock as well as bespoke enquiries that will demand a focused and bright approach to match the needs of our clients. This varied and interesting role will lead you to managing a selected amount of clients in partnership with an external representative.

The Role

Job Title: Machine Operator – Cutting Department
Salary/Rate: Competitive
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Basis: Permanent
Location: Leicester

Established in 1969, Oadby Plastics are the ‘UK’s leading independent plastics supplier’. Due to continued growth we require a highly motivated individual to join our busy Production department as a Machine Operator.

The Role
• Set and Operate our range of cutting and planing machines on a daily basis
• Collect the correct cut materials and work to specifications/instructions as detailed on a works order
• Produce finished parts from works orders or internal departmental requests to tolerances stated in an agreed time frame
• To meet production quality and output levels and make sure they are optimised at all times
• Complete all relevant paperwork when works have been completed
• Carry out weekly machine checks and report any issues to the production supervisor or maintenance engineer

The Candidate
• Acceptable level of numeracy and literacy skills
• Experience of working in a high volume manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of wood cutting equipment
• Flexible approach to work in different areas of production
• Counterbalance fork lift licence would be desirable but not essential

The Role
• Answer and distribute telephone calls accordingly.
• Manage and distribute the flow of junk emails coming into the business.
• Maintain the flow of works orders between the sales office and production department.
• Processing of carriage report, responsible for checking daily carriage charges.
• Open orders report.
• Responsible for maintaining a tidy office environment.
• Replenishment of printer paper.
• Manage and control distribution of company / supplier brochures.
• General administrative duties required by the sales teams.
• Support to other departments as and when required

The Role
• Develop strong relationships with established customers.
• Manage customer requirements in order to effectively sell our full range of products and services.
• Manage key accounts to monitor performance, meet budgets and maximise spend.
• Negotiate prices and customer terms where necessary.
• Consistent level of verbal and written communication on a daily basis.
• Process quotations and orders to meet customer requirements.

The Candidate
• Experience in Industrial sales is preferable but not essential
