ABS plastic rod is not FDA-approved for direct food contact. While it is used in various consumer products, it is not recommended for applications involving direct contact with food or beverages.
ABS has a maximum continuous service temperature of around 80–100°C. Above this, it may soften or deform, so applications above this temperature range should be carefully evaluated.
ABS absorbs very little moisture, but some absorption can occur over time, which may slightly affect its mechanical properties in humid environments.
