Showcasing Our Combined Expertise at PPMA 2026
What a fantastic three days at PPMA 2026!
From 22–24 September, the Oadby Plastics team joined Oadby Conveyors and Movex Industrial Innovations at the NEC Birmingham, bringing together our expertise in engineering plastics, machining and conveyor solutions.
It was a busy few days filled with great conversations, familiar faces and plenty of new connections.
Bringing Oadby Plastics and Oadby Conveyors together
PPMA gave us a great opportunity to show visitors more of what we can offer across the Oadby Group.
Alongside Oadby Conveyors and the Movex team showcasing conveyor components and solutions, we were able to demonstrate that our material knowledge and machining capabilities can help manufacturers solve challenges throughout their production environments.
From engineering plastics and precision-machined components to conveyor parts and complete solutions, having our teams together meant visitors could discuss a wide range of requirements in one place.
We also put engineering plastics to the test with our PEEK versus metal challenge.
Visitors were invited to handle both components and guess the difference in weight between the metal part and its PEEK counterpart. With the PEEK component weighing just 76g compared with 448g for the metal component, it was a great way to demonstrate just how significant material selection can be when looking to reduce component weight.
Celebrating 10 Years with Movex
This year’s show was particularly special for Oadby Conveyors as it marked 10 years of partnership with Movex Industrial Innovations.
Over the past decade, the partnership has continued to develop, combining Oadby Conveyors’ knowledge and service with Movex’s extensive range of conveyor components and solutions.
Having the Movex team alongside us at PPMA made it the perfect opportunity to celebrate the milestone, while also looking ahead to what’s next.
